Having been a Jaguar enthusiast for more than 65 years I was trying to find a low mileage classic Jaguar to enjoy while I could still drive. I found such a car in Japan. As a first time customer of buying a car online, thru Autoport and living in this day and age of modern technology with a plethora of scams/phishing/fakes/clones etc, I had huge doubts whether this was the right way to go about getting a new car especially because I had lived in Auckland most of my life, never seen this place on my travels nor known anyone who has brought from them before. The poor team at Autoport probably have a special name for me like "oh no it's that annoying lady that thinks we're scammers", hahaha, emailing them everytime I got worried I hadn't heard from them when I thought I should have lol. The team were so patient and polite, always responded in a timely manner. And after all of that, my car arrived. Right up to 2 mins away from Autoport and not being able to find the gate, I still thought I was being scammed. You may think, well why did you buy it that way then? Well the photos online, it was a beautiful car. Low k's compared to what I could find in NZ, good star rating, not a bad price. Almost a to good to be true scenario. I jumped on Google and did some research on Autoport, called the team to reassure myself, read the testimonials. Was happy to go thru with the purchase, made the transfer and still sh*t myself until the car arrived lol. I mean hey, some of these scams are very sophisticated :) However, I call her she and she is in my possession now. Couldn't get a AA lemon check done first which is my main go to when purchasing a Subaru so a lot of this was riding on hope. Had her for a few months now and she's going strong.
