Then what seemed like a long 6 or so weeks began, waiting for this beauty to arrive – meanwhile Carlene kept us informed every step of the way. It’s fair to say that we were a bit apprehensive – the unknown of “what are we going to get” – but the car and the condition was exactly as promised. Having been a Jaguar enthusiast for more than 65 years I was trying to find a low mileage classic Jaguar to enjoy while I could still drive. I found such a car in Japan. I had no idea how to go about having it thoroughly inspected to ensure it was genuinely as reported. Even less how to securely purchase the vehicle. Have it removed from the Japanese register. Although I was skeptical at first to deal with Autoport, I was pleasantly surprised when they actually found a car that not only matched my requirements, but also exceeded the same - I got more than what I had asked for and at the price I wanted to pay.
